Every key belongs to a plan subscription and lives on the developer console’s Keys and usage page. There you copy it again, roll it, delete it, and read this period’s credits against the plan’s allowance. We never send a key by email. The console is the only place that shows it. Roll it to rotate. The console issues the new key at once. The old one still works for 7 days. Then the console deletes it. So a client can move over without an outage. Do not wait 7 days for a leaked key. Roll it, put the new key in your client, then delete the old one from the same page. A deleted key can answer for up to a minute more, because the gateway caches a key’s standing for 60 seconds. Then the gateway refuses it.

Keys and usage

Your subscriptions, each with its key, its roll and delete buttons and its usage this period.
If you have no key yet, open Get an API key. Plans and limits says what a key can do each minute and each day, and what a credit is. Authentication says what a key gets.
